Devil Club 1.5 — more hardened, more polished, more transparent

LaunchA month and a half since 1.0. We didn't change the promise; we toughened it: more real security, fine-grained fixes to daily use, and a Security page that explains — no fine print — how we protect what's yours.
Launch1.0 was "we're live in production." 1.5 is the path toward a compliance platform built to last — designed for decades, not for a quick sale.

New Security page — how we protect what's yours, no fine print

SecurityWe published a clear Security page: what we actually do to protect your information, your banking data, and your documentation — and what we do NOT promise, because no one can promise that no one will ever try.
SecurityYou connect your bank through Plaid: we never see or store your bank username or password, only read-only access to what you authorize, and you can cut that access whenever you want.
SecurityNothing gets filed with the IRS without your sign-off, and we handle only what actually applies (FBAR and BEA; BOIR is no longer required).
SecurityAvailable in Spanish and English.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) for your account

SecurityYou can now turn on two-factor authentication from your dashboard, under the Security section: on top of your password, sign-in asks for a one-time code from an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password…).
SecurityIt's optional and you turn it on whenever you want — an extra layer protecting access to your LLCs and your tax documentation.

Security, stability, and mobile fixes

SecurityWe hardened several internal layers that protect your information and your LLCs' information across notifications, forms, and sensitive processes. Nothing you would have noticed, but they hold up better now.
SecurityProtection against duplicate actions: we reinforced key processes so a glitch or a double click can't trigger the same action twice.
SecurityYour P&L now counts only what's actually been collected in the bank, not pending invoices — it reflects your real business.
SecuritySeveral mobile display fixes: dashboard header, Ultimate Guide tables, and cards that now stack properly on small screens.

Your account, a little more hardened — and mobile, cleaner

SecurityYour information and your LLCs' information travels with extra layers of protection. We closed latent vectors in forms, wire transfer instructions, and email signatures — nothing you would have noticed, but they're more solid now.
SecurityHeader notifications now display correctly on mobile, without horizontal overflow.
SecurityUpdated, honest roadmap: the "WhatsApp + Telegram Community" item is back to marked as "in development." It was mislabeled as completed — fixed.

Bookkeeping with economic substance, not just an automatic spreadsheet

NewMercury and Wise linking with automatic hourly sync is still there — the difference is what the system does next.
New28 canonical categories + 7 transaction types aligned to the real tax schema (deductible expenses, non-deductible expenses, distributions, contributions, transfers, adjustments). These aren't free-form tags — they're what your accountant or an examiner expects to see.
NewRelated parties: the system automatically detects when a counterparty is your own entity or a sister entity, and lets you manually flag declared relationships (spouse, family member, owner's sole proprietorship). They stay flagged in the panel so you know which transactions are intra-group before anyone asks.
NewAuto-detected internal transfers: Mercury Checking ↔ Credit autopay and movements between your own accounts no longer count as expense/income. Your P&L reports reflect real business, not banking noise.
NewSmart counterparty reclassification: when you change how a vendor is categorized (say, "this is marketing, not software"), the system learns and applies that mapping to that counterparty's future transactions. History stays as it was unless you edit it by hand.
NewPer-LLC counterparty memory: every vendor that shows up gets categorized within that entity for future transactions. Each LLC keeps its own trained base.
NewThe /v1/bookkeeping API persists counterparty_id + economic_purpose + document_id (the golden rule). Form 5472, the panel's documentation metrics, and the tax defense dossier all read straight from there.
NewYour bookkeeping stops being a manual data dump and becomes a dataset with substance — one your accountant can read directly, and one you can audit yourself if the authorities ask for an explanation.
